Emergency dentist
Our dentists are also available for emergency appointments, including those required due to dental damage caused by an accident. During opening hours, call 020 675 1389 to arrange an emergency appointment. We charge the same fees as for regular treatments. Outside of these hours, please call the Slotervaart Hospital Dental Clinic on 020 723 4848 for acute pain.

Invoicing
At iSmile Tandarts in Amsterdam South, we use PAYT for our invoicing. PAYT will send you invoices for your treatments, which you can receive by email or post. Before you receive the invoice, it will be submitted to your health insurer first. The PAYT invoice will then only show the costs not covered by your insurer. If you have any questions about what is covered by your insurance policy, please refer to its terms and conditions or contact your insurer directly.
Health insurance
Depending on your policy, your insurer may cover the full cost of dental care, some of the cost, or none of the cost. This depends on your policy conditions and the cover you have chosen. Some insurance policies offer extensive coverage for treatments such as check-ups and preventive care, while others only cover emergency care or specific procedures. Therefore, it is always wise to read your policy carefully or contact your health insurer for more information. This way, you will know exactly what is covered and will not be faced with any surprises.

How to find our practice
Our dental practice in Amsterdam South is easy to reach, regardless of your chosen method of travel:
- By public transport, take the metro (line 52) to De Pijp; it’s then only a five-minute walk to our practice. Alternatively, take tram 4 or 12 to Cornelis Troostplein, a two-minute walk from our practice.
- If you’re coming by bike, it’s a 15-minute ride from Central Station. You can easily secure your bike in one of the many racks on our street.
- Would you prefer to come by car? There is plenty of parking available on our street*.
