Light anaesthesia

If you are extremely anxious about visiting the dentist, light anaesthesia may be an option. This will enable you to undergo the necessary treatment. With light anaesthesia, you will be completely unaware of what is happening. An anaesthetist will administer a sedative and monitor you throughout the procedure. When you wake up, your treatment will be complete, and you will have time to recover in peace.
If you are afraid of the dentist, we will discuss whether light anaesthesia is suitable for your treatment. For some treatments, we use laughing gas sedation. If you have any questions about light anaesthesia, please call us on 020 218 4257 or email us at info@ismile-tandartspraktijk.nl.

Simply request a quote from us for your chosen treatment. This will enable you to check with your health insurer exactly how much you will be reimbursed. Your insurer may ask you for a statement from our anxiety dentist about your fear of treatment. Based on this statement, your insurer will approve your reimbursement.
We would be happy to inform you about its use during treatment. It works as follows:
We will explain what to expect during the procedure. You can check with your health insurer to see if the treatment is covered by your policy. Once all the information has been discussed, we will arrange the light anaesthesia treatment.
An anaesthetist will be present throughout the procedure. They will monitor you throughout. You will be given a sedative to keep you asleep and prevent you from being conscious during the procedure.
Once the treatment is complete, you will wake up. The anaesthetist will provide aftercare and help you recover from the anaesthetic. The dentist will then inform you about the treatment that has been carried out.
