Over the years, our teeth discolour due to certain foods. At our dental office in Amsterdam, we can whiten your teeth in just one treatment. You can also whiten your teeth at home by yourself. To do so, you can use our safe bleaching spoon. The bleaching gels we use at iSmile are harmless to your enamel, making teeth whitening much safer than before.

Internal teeth whitening

When whitening your teeth from the inside, we make a small hole at the back of each tooth. We then apply the bleaching agent through the hole into the tooth. We then reseal the hole with a temporary filling. After a few days, you return to the practice for the dentist to check the results. If the desired result has not been achieved, we will repeat the bleaching process. Are you happy with the colour? If so, we will close the cavity with a final filling.

After the treatment

After the bleaching process at our practice, your teeth may be slightly sensitive, but this will disappear quickly. We recommend that you avoid consuming food and drink containing dye for the first 24 hours after bleaching, as this can discolour your teeth again. It is also best not to smoke for the first two or three hours after treatment. If you continue to experience sensitive teeth for a prolonged period, please contact us.

External teeth whitening

Of course, you can also have your teeth whitened externally. We start the process by taking an mould of your teeth to create a custom-made tray. Once the tray is ready, you can return to the practice. We provide instructions on how to use the tray, enabling you to safely start whitening your teeth at home. After a few days, your teeth will become whiter and brighter. It usually takes two to three weeks to achieve the desired results. Please contact us with any questions.

Prices vary annually. For current prices, please see our fees page. You can find prices under the following codes:

  • E90: Internal Bleaching, First Session
  • E95: Internal bleaching – each subsequent session
  • E97: external bleaching per jaw.

Our Amsterdam West practice is easily accessible by bicycle, car or public transport. Our address is Hoofdweg 576, 1055 AB. It is located near the Erasmuspark and can be reached from Amsterdam Sloterdijk station via several trams and buses. You can park your car at the Mobypark Zahia car park or at the Bos en Lommerplantsoen car park. There is a place for your bicycle directly in front of our practice.

Our second office is located at number 15H on Lutma Street. It takes 15 minutes to cycle from Central Station to our practice. Alternatively, you can take the metro or tram from Amsterdam Central Station. There is always enough parking space in our street, so you can park your car there.
